Here’s the video from “The Day Tajou Got Shot,” as the girls celebrate Black Lives Matter Week of Action in Washington D.C. schools which was a project supported by Teaching for Change, a social justice classroom literacy outreach program that works to put books in the hands of parent and teachers, and that promotes literact through writing. The Writers of Beacon House took part in a presentation at the Mount Pleasant Branch of DC Public Libraries where they shared their contributions to the development of The Day Tajon Got Shot, published by Shout Mouse Press.
